The fair will take place on Viale delle Piagge on Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September from 10 am to 10 pm. Admission is free. 

The Festa degli Scalzi - Mostra mercato returns with its fourth edition along the tree-lined Viale delle Piagge. 

More than one hundred exhibitors from various regions will offer food and wine and doc crafts, art and culture, confirming the beauty and goodness of our territory.

The Piagge avenue will be transformed into a garden of plants, gardening equipment and products with Tuscan and national companies, operators specialised in citrus fruits and the recovery of ancient fruit varieties.

During the three-day event, it will be possible to taste the delicacies of the Italian culinary tradition, in colourful truck food or at typical regional stands: fresh, organic and zero-kilometre products.

Lots of handicrafts, handmade by skilled creatives in a wide variety of techniques, more than 40 sectors will be represented, from textiles to wood to the recovery of ancient artefacts and modern objects

The Scalzi Fair will be open over the three days from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with side events, book presentations and theatrical or musical performances.

Friday 23 September

Viale delle Piagge

5 p.m.

Inauguration on Viale delle Piagge, Church of San Michele degli Scalzi, followed by the opening of the market exhibition of typical local products and handicrafts.

Participants: Michele Conti, Mayor of Pisa, Don Lorenzo Bianchi, parish priest of San Michele, Antonio Schena, president of the Piagge Committee.

 

Sunday 25 September

Concert for Chiara. dedicated to the memory of Prof. Chiara Levantesi.

Performed by the group "La Bottega del Blues" - Rock-Blues music

Poetry prize "Vernàolo Piccante"- 6th edition promoted by the Pisa Delegation of the Accademia del Peperoncino, the ErTramme magazine and the Crocchio Goliardi Spensierati. A 'vernacular' performance by the Crocchio dei Goliardi Spensierati will precede the award ceremony.

 

Tuesday 27 September

Ridotto of the Verdi Theatre in Pisa

Third edition of the Premio al "Giornalismo Sportivo - S. Michele", under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, the Region of Tuscany and the Ordine dei Giornalisti della Toscana. Conducted by Giovanni Manenti and Stefano Mecenate. The award, now in its third edition, is dedicated to Romeo Anconetani, the unforgettable president of Pisa Calcio, a legend of football in Pisa and beyond whose birth centenary falls in just over a month. The Committee unanimously decided to award the prize to Dr Roberto Beccantini, a great name in Italian journalism. Two journalists from our local TV stations who have been commenting on Pisan football and sport for years with passion and competence will also be honoured: Aldo Orsini and Massimo Marini for 50Canale and Telegranducato respectively. A special prize was awarded to the former editor of the Pisa editorial office of 'La Nazione', Aldo Gaggini, for his many years dedicated to telling the daily story of sports events in Pisa and beyond, and finally to journalist Fabio Demi for his book 'Lamberto Piovanelli - Una Vita all'attacco'.
