An event with a carnival theme, aimed at families and children, is scheduled for Saturday 21 February, starting at 4 pm, in Piazza delle Vettovaglie. The event is organised by the Municipality of Pisa in collaboration with Pisamo, Confcommercio and Comando di Tramontana.

“Vettovaglie in festa” will feature entertainment, face painting and music for an afternoon of costumes, which will also include the distribution of fritters and traditional sweets, with the shops in the square participating in the initiative offering carnival-themed snacks.

The event is part of the calendar of initiatives organised by the Municipality of Pisa for the carnival period, alongside the “Carnevale nei quartieri” programme, organised in collaboration with Pisamo and already held in recent weeks in various areas of the city, https://www.turismo.pisa.it/en/eventi/Carnival-in-the-Neighborhoods-2026.
Unlike the events held in the neighbourhoods, the initiative in Piazza delle Vettovaglie involves the direct participation of local businesses, which contribute to the activities on the programme.
