The Opera della Primaziale Pisana confirms its commitment to real and truly inclusive accessibility and renews this year, for the city and its visitors, the event on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, on the occasion of the World Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Piazza dei Miracoli will be transformed into a space for shared encounter and discovery, where UNESCO heritage monuments become protagonists of a cultural experience open to all and everyone.
THE DAY'S PROGRAM BY RESERVATION
10 am and 2 pm – Tactile and sensory visits
A tactile exploration of the monuments of Piazza del Duomo (participants will be provided with any eye patches) to discover the thousand-year history of the square with their hands and other senses. Duration: 60 minutes. Meeting place Museum of Sinopias. Limited places.
2:30 PM – Theatrical performance in period costumes
The cycle of frescoes dedicated to San Ranieri nel Camposanto comes to life through a theatrical performance that intertwines art, history and tradition. Duration: 30 minutes. With LIS interpreting. Meeting place Camposanto. Limited places.
4:00 PM – Lecture by Professor Tomaso Montanari
At the G. Toniolo Auditorium, in Piazza Arcivescovado, the famous art historian Tomaso Montanari will offer a reflection on “The Words of Hope”. Duration: 60 minutes. With LIS interpreting. Limited places.
6:00 PM – Tommaso Novi Concert
At the Sinopie Museum, artist Tommaso Novi will perform a piano and whistle concert reserved for the 14 associations of people with disabilities with which the Opera della Primaziale Pisana has signed a memorandum of understanding. Citizens are still invited to follow the performance live streaming from the G. Toniolo Auditorium in Piazza Arcivescovado, where the artist will go at the end to greet the audience.
