The appointment with ‘Nerone Night Experience’, a plunge into the city's ancient past, is back. A tour through the streets of the historic centre, Tramontana area, from San Zeno to Bagni di Nerone. The route starts from images and stories of Etruscan Pisa to arrive at the Roman period through historical sources, aerial shots integrated with 3D reconstructions, animated shadows, and historical iconography. The various stages unveil the mysteries of the Roman city: the lost amphitheatre and the tales of ancient travellers; the ancient relationship with water and the Auser, Pisa's second river, which has now disappeared; the life and workings of the spa, known as the ‘Bagni di Nerone’, with its double-world: the splendour of the marble and the pools above the hellish underground of the slave-fed furnaces; the legend of San Torpé, which links Nero, St Peter's, and Pisa.
