Wednesday 20, 6.30p.m. - BOOK PRESENTATION

On the Arno, by Enrico Caracciolo - Libreria Civico 14

From the springs in the heart of the Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi to the mouth of Marina di Pisa after crossing Tuscany, the Arno indicates a road of great beauty where the Etruscan civilization, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance meet, stories of men and women who tell the Genius loci of this land, from Veloce il meccanico di San Giovanni Valdarno to Leonardo da Vinci, from lining to Florentine hole. The Ciclovia dell'Arno and the Sentiero della Bonifica are a slow road system of about 400 km in large part already existing and operational that will see the final light by 2023, thanks to the intervention of the Tuscany Region and local authorities. The author dreams of covering the entire cycle path with a story that combines experiences lived projections of the imagination of the cyclist. Places, meetings, mysteries and stories follow the unpredictable mood of the river of Dante’s memory that "for half of Tuscany... who was born in Falterona and a hundred miles of course nol satizia".
