A journey to discover the secrets of the city walls and their role in city planning: Saturday 6 May 'Mura Sottosopra' (Walls Upside Down), a visit with Professor Ilario Luperini in search of the features of the walls that allow us to explore the history of the city. Doors that are now closed that were once of vital importance, seventeenth-century bastions, cut-off towers, gates that were never opened. We start at 5 p.m. from the Bagni di Nerone: the first part of the walk takes place under the Walls to allow participants to better admire the elements that make up the defensive monument. From the Parlascio, where the main road axis of the medieval civitas ended, to the Lion's Gate in Piazza dei Miracoli. Followed by a climb up the high walkway and the possibility of staying until 8 p.m., when the hour of sunset is closer.
