On Thursday 21 June at 21:15 in the Historical Salon of Leopolda Station in Pisa, the School of Music of the Philharmonic Society of Pisa, with the patronage of the City of Pisa, on the occasion of the European Music Festival 2017, presents "TUTTI QUANTI VOGLION FARE JAZZ. .. ". Original tribute to a rich and multifaceted musical genre, which now boast over a century.
Jazz is born from a formidable encounter of cultures, but without wars or battles other than those of the same musicians against themselves; It Is born on the street with the marching bands that accompany the life of the popular districts before entering the bourgeois houses and dance halls, then arrives in theaters and then gets tangled with political meanings and becomes the first contest and then, returning to more music Immediate, is adopted as a generational hymn, to finally become more and more exclusive rules and to close a little in itself.
Its history makes it possible to define Jazz music for everyone because, even reaching high levels of sophistication, has preserved the spirit of its origins that makes it enjoyable to a large audience.
The European Music Festival has become a fixed event for the Music School of the Pisana Philharmonic, which, under the artistic direction of Prof. Carlo Franceschi, is always able to amaze and engage in making interesting projects both for the public and for the same artists. After the interesting project of the Music Festival of 2016, which has seen on stage a work specifically written by Carlo Josè Boncompagni for the occasion, an artistic project by Anna Ulivieri, flutist and arranger, music school teacher, is presented. Staged the Orchestra formed by students and teachers, the vocal ensemble of the singing class, the chorus of white voices and the big band of the Music School of the Pisana Philharmonic all together passionately directed by M ° Carlo Franceschi. The project also features interpretations danced by Flavia Bucciero, thanks to the collaboration with Movimentoinactor Teatrodanza, to tell some of the themes of the Animation and Musical Cinema and popular songs inspired by their beauty to the standards of jazz literature Becoming one of the most famous, so much so that he sometimes missed the initial destination.
