Museums and galleries opening up to the city. The city opening up to art, even with unprecedented synergies such as the one with the world of sport. Objective: to bring art everywhere, to demonstrate how art can really be for everyone. This is the double track that lies at the heart of the first edition of the 'Pisa Art Week' festival, promoted and organised by the Athena association, a new reality in the area.
A three-day event (on 3, 4 and 5 June) at a fast pace (and completely free admission) made possible by the synergy of a 'team' of organisations and institutions. "Pisa Art Week was in fact created with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, the contribution and collaboration of Confcommercio Pisa, Pisa Chamber of Commerce - Terre di Pisa, and the Regional Council of Tuscany. Pisa Calcio and Assicurazioni Generali are also among the partners.
Exhibitions, vernissages, workshops, aperitifs, screenings. The 'walk' to discover art will be a route in stages: Museo delle Navi Antiche, Cineclub Arsenale, Domus Mazziniana, Antonella Scarfone Gallery, Libreria Gli Anni in Tasca, Ars Cafè & Bistrot, Studio Gennai. Guided tours are also planned: for the duration of the event, Palazzo Reale and Museo di San Matteo will organise free guided tours (booking required).
