Three days dedicated to handmade and design with many collateral events. Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th December 2017 returns the Christmas Edition of Mercantile for the first time outside the province of Livorno. The itinerant kermesse arrives at Stazione Leopolda di Pisa with seventy-one merchants, nine truck-food, two concerts, artistic performances, workshops for adults and children, direct radio and photo shoots. All this, as always, with free admission.

 

The chosen location is a cultural center, obtained in large rooms of historical and architectural value, which continuously promotes projects, initiatives and events. One of the first European railway stations wanted by the Grand Duke Leopoldo II of Tuscany that will be invaded by seventy-one craftsmen and crafter from all over the boot with their sought-after and original creations to be bought and put as a gift under the Christmas tree.

From clothes to games for children, from bags to jewels but also illustrations, ceramics and furnishing accessories. Often unique pieces that reflect the philosophy of market design based on the promotion of a conscious consumption and alien to the purely commercial logic especially in view of the upcoming Christmas holidays.

 

Together with the exhibitors, as always, many side events. The web radio 'Garage radio' will take care of directing the Mercantile for the entire weekend. The greediest will have nine truck-food available that will offer all types of food, from vegan to meat, from fried to confectionery thanks to the collaboration with 'Borderline Club' and 'Better food festival'. But also an area dedicated to the beverage with mulled wine and quality craft beers. There will also be workshops of creative writing, folding of books and tailoring from the 1950s. In addition to workshops, children's play areas (such as 'Recybot' and 'Marbled greeting cards') and live performances such as screen printing by the artist from Livorno, Matteo Giuntini.

 

Two, however, musical appointments. Friday 15th at 21.30 will perform on stage at the Stazione Leopolda Fabrizio Pocci and the Laboratory (Marco Franci on guitar and Alessandro Ferri on bass). Sunday afternoon, however, the appointment is at 6 pm with 'Guns N' Roses Experience Acoustic ', a performance by Alex Sabadini (guitar) with Mamo Giusti (guitar) and Marco Biuller (vocals) designed specifically for the Mercantile in collaboration with 'Borderline Club' and 'Ps Management'.
