From Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 September 2025, from 9.00 pm, the La Nunziatina Garden hosts "Cinema e Calcio" (Cinema and football), a review of films, matches and lateral views on the most popular game in the world.

Three special events, always with free admission, which intertwine culture, cinema and sport.

Tuesday 9 September: “Centoventi versus Novecento” (2019, 53’) by Alessandro Scillitani and Alessandro Di Nuzzo. The legendary match between Pier Paolo Pasolini and Bernardo Bertolucci. An ironic and passionate story that unites two giants of Italian cinema through the language of football.

Wednesday 10 September: “Stadio Boys” – Presentation of the book and meeting with Emanuele Segre. A visual and narrative journey into the Italian stadiums of the ’80s, between identity, politics and marginality. Emanuele Segre (I Cammelli), Sandra Lischi (University of Pisa) will participate in the presentation with an introduction by Frida Scarpa (Councilor Municipality of Pisa). Followed by the projection of Il Power Must Be Black and White (1978) and Ragazzi di Stadio (1980).

Thursday, September 11: “Offside” (2006, 88’) by Jafar Panahi – Talk “There is no Offside for rights”. A group of Iranian girls attempt to enter a stadium in Tehran, where access to women is prohibited. A poetic, grotesque and subversive film that made the history of resistance cinema. Before the screening, talk with La Marchesa, Lalique Chouette, Maya de Leo and Marco the Yellow.

The event is organized by Metarock in collaboration with the La Nunziatina Garden, with the aim of opening a space for reflection and meeting: football as a social, cultural and political phenomenon, told through the images and voices of cinema.
