The Universo Corto-International Short Film Festival returns to Pisa for its 18th edition: from 4 to 7 December 2025.

This year, the festival will take place in the Aula Magna of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna , with free admission every evening. 

Universo Corto is an international short film festival that began in Pisa in 2004 and will celebrate its 17th edition in 2024. It is an independent short film festival with no specific theme, organised by the cultural association Giovani Persone.

Created in 2004 by the Circolo Culturale Giovani Persone, the festival has become a significant cultural platform, known for presenting high-quality works often selected or awarded at major international film festivals such as the Oscars, Sundance, Cannes and Clermont-Ferrand. Over the years, Universo Corto has hosted world-renowned jury presidents, including Marco Bellocchio, Oliviero Toscani, Mario Dondero, Robert Zemeckis and Meryam Joobeur, strengthening its reputation on the global short film scene. Artistic director of the festival: Francesco Monceri, president: Roberto Faenza and president of the 2025 jury: Meryam Joobeur.
