Closing the season listening to the cosmos at the Arsenale of Pisa, with the project Sounds in space, proposed for Il Giardino del video by Ondavideo. A two-day programme on the relationship between cinema, music and science (9 and 10 June) with afternoon meetings between musicians, musicologists, sci-fi film experts and scientists and a selection of listening sessions and videos; in the evening screenings in the historic room of the Cineclub and in the new space Sammartino.

For "Il giardino del video" 2025, Ondavideo proposes a meeting with one of the world’s leading experts on sound-image relations, the Frenchman Michel Chion, author of many books on cinema, sound and music, and of the recent book Sounds in space. Listening to the space opera, released in Italy by Cue Press in 2024. Chion’s overview of the sound of space in sci-fi films and the problems it raises become an opportunity for dialogue and multidisciplinary discussion on a theme, the sound of the cosmos, which has generated imaginaries and inspired the arts, and which has been explored by science. Fascinating intersections.

On the two afternoons, at 18.00, dialogues with musicians, musicologists, science fiction film experts, scientists; selection of audiences and videos. In the evenings, video and film screenings.
