Eight events featuring music, theatre, performances, and activities for children and families
A square to be enjoyed day and night, through music, performances, entertainment and activities designed for a variety of audiences. This is the aim of “Piazze in Scena: Vivi Piazza Dante”, the new festival which, from 12 September to 31 October 2026, will bring Piazza Dante Alighieri in Pisa to life with a programme of eight events. Almost two months of events spanning seven weekends, running from the final days of summer until 31 October. A packed programme organised by Confcommercio Pisa together with the square’s local businesses, Le Parisien and L’Angolo di Beso, in collaboration with Arti Pendenti and Earl b, under the patronage of Pisa City Council and with the support of the North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce – Terre di Pisa.
The programme kicks off on Saturday 12 September with the opening of the festival, accompanied by a musical performance by Wally Dj, which will officially launch ‘Piazze in Scena’.
The programme continues on 19 September with the musical show *Pleasure Session* by Maurizio De Gennaro, Giacomo Laureti and Pietro Borsò. The event on Saturday 3 October promises to be particularly packed, with ‘Arte in Piazza’, a day dedicated above all to children and families. From 4.00 pm to 7.15 pm, there will be circus workshops for children, followed by cabaret and juggling shows, a clown show with soap bubbles featuring entertainment by the Laboratorio di Bolle Cicoria, a children’s dance session and the puppet show *Gli Scrigni Magici*. The day will be accompanied by music from Cinzia Facenzi, transforming the square into a true hub of celebration and entertainment.
Saturday 11 October will see ‘Viviamo la mattina’, featuring Earl Club, a daytime musical show designed to bring entertainment even in the early hours of the day.
On 17 October, the fantastic prize-winning quiz show ‘Il Cervellone’ will take to the stage, hosted by Marcello Pastore, whilst on 23 October, Piazza Dante will host the ‘Birra Fest’, featuring a musical performance by Tundra Live.
On 24 October, music will take centre stage with an evening of entertainment and karaoke open to anyone who fancies putting themselves to the test and singing along with Gianfranco DJ.
The programme will conclude on 31 October with an event dedicated to the spookiest night of the year: the “Halloween Party”, featuring clown shows, soap bubbles and a closing musical performance.
With eight events spread over seven weeks, “Piazze in Scena: Vivi Piazza Dante” is set to become a new autumn fixture in Pisa: a project that puts the square, the people and the desire to be together at the heart of the programme.
