Mura Botaniche is back, an initiative organized by the Botanical Garden and Museum in collaboration with the Walls of Pisa, now in its fifth edition. As always, there are three dates scheduled for this special guided tour along the elevated walkway of the Walls and through the Botanical Garden.
Each year, the tour offers the opportunity to learn more about the flora that inhabits the Walls: a surprising diversity that is often underestimated. The staff of the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum will guide participants in discovering the plants of this fascinating urban environment: from the famous caper plant to all the other species that grow on the Walls, taking advantage of every available crevice.
The tour begins at the ascent to the Piezometric Tower and the first part ends in Piazza dei Miracoli, after which the visit continues in the Botanical Garden.
The scheduled dates are:
- Saturday, 11 April 2026, 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 9 May 2026, 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 6 June 2026, 10:00 a.m.
The visits last approximately 3 hours.
Places are limited and booking is required by email at: educazione.ortomuseobot@sma.unipi.it; reservations are accepted until 12:00 noon on the Friday before each visit.
The cost is €9 per person and includes access both to the Walls and to the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum, to be paid on site.
