The Museo della Grafica (Municipality of Pisa, University of Pisa) presents the exhibition Ewald Frick. Anatomy of a Scriptural Trace, which will be open to visitors from November 27, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

For Ewald Frick, the world is a text composed of traces ranging from early Christian characters to the printed pages of modern books. In his fascinating work, Liechtenstein artist Ewald Frick weaves a dialogue between read texts and objects he found in a wide variety of places. The entire process takes place under the banner of the poetic gesture imprinted freehand on the blank sheet of paper. It is a painstaking work that reproduces, through an intimate and lived mimesis, the graphic forms at the origin of the scriptural interpretation of the universe.

The exhibition created by the Museum of Graphics is curated by Maura Formica and Michael Jakob.

Exhibition opening with free admission: Thursday, November 27, 2025, 5:30 PM

From November 27, 2025, to January 31, 2026, the exhibition can be visited for a fee according to the museum's entrance fees.
