As has now become tradition, the Dannunziana Cultural Association and the San Nicola Polyphonic Choir Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, are organizing the Christmas concert, which will take place in the Church of San Nicola, Via Santa Maria, on Monday, 8 December at 4:00 p.m.
The concert is dedicated to the NGO “Doctors with Africa CUAMM,” the first Italian NGO, which has just celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding in the presence of the President of the Republic.
The NGO Doctors with Africa operates in 41 intervention countries, mainly in Africa, providing medical care and services to people living in the world’s poorest areas, standing alongside the most vulnerable - especially mothers and children.
The San Nicola Polyphonic Choir will be conducted by Stefano Barandoni, who will also lead the soloists of the Tuscan Chamber Orchestra.
Organist: Paolo Sorrentino.
Music by Monteverdi, Buxtehude, Pachelbel, Mozart, Geri, and pieces from the Italian and international Christmas tradition will be performed.
