A year after the acquisition of Artemisia Gentileschi's Samaritan Woman at the Well, the Pisa Foundation presents an extraordinary new work for the Palazzo Blu museum and the city of Pisa. It is a painting by the famous Orazio Riminaldi (1593-1630).

The Good Samaritan (1625-1630), which becomes part of Palazzo Blu's museum itinerary after careful restoration, will be presented in a meeting open to the public on Wednesday 22 November at 5.30 p.m. in the Palazzo Blu auditorium.

The seminar, which will illustrate the painting and the Pisan context in which Riminaldi was called upon to work, will be attended by the president of Palazzo Blu, Cosimo Bracci Torsi, and by professors Franco Angiolini, Francesco Solinas and Pierluigi Carofano and restorers Elena Burchianti, Enrico Rossi and Elisa Todisco. The meeting will be moderated by Stefano Renzoni, editor of the volume that brings together the scholars' scientific contributions on the painting and the historical and artistic context of Pisa at the time of Riminaldi. At the end of the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to see the work in the Palazzo Blu museum collection.

Booking via Eventbrite is recommended to all those interested (starting Monday 13 November from 13:30).

On the occasion of the event, Palazzo Blu's art collection will be open to visitors free of charge from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 November.
