Next May 21st, 2017, the National Acrobatic Patrol of the Tricolor Arrows, after 15 years of absence, will return for the second consecutive year on the Pisan coast and in the Tuscan skies with the Air Show of Pisa, which last year attracted over 120,000 people.
This year the Grand Air Force's large participation will take flight, together with the Tricolor Arrows, some of its finest features such as the Tornado, the Eurofighter and the C-27 Spartan, the only air carrier in the world that, in the hands of the pilots Italian military, is capable of exciting aerial stunts.
At the presentation press conference, Deputy Mayor Paolo Ghezzi stated: "After last year's success, we immediately started to get the Arrows back into town; To have the National Acrobatic Patrol again here shows how the relationship of Pisa with the 46th Air Brigade has been consolidated. "
For the 46th Air Force, Commander General Achille Cazzaniga was present, who recalled that the Freecce Tricolori performances call a very large audience from all over Italy and also from abroad.
Maurizio Viti, Director of the event said: "This edition is particularly valuable as it is also expected that the Flight Experimental Department will be involved. The show will start around 3:30 pm and will end at about 6pm. The Exhibit of the Acrobatic Patrol of the Tricolor Arrows, which will last about 23 minutes, is scheduled for about 5 pm ".
Prior to the press conference, a working meeting was held between all the entities involved, as the event puts in motion a very complex organizational machine that requires a non-indifferent effort.
