From Saturday 23 April, at 5 p.m. to Tuesday 3 May, at the church of Santa Maria della Spina it will be possible to visit the exhibition "Dio è madre" (God is mother) by Gianfranco Meggiato.

The exhibition is organised by Casa d'Arte San Lorenzo, in collaboration with the C.R.A. (Centro Raccolta Arte) and the support of FuoriLuogo, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa and the Region of Tuscany.

The exhibition, consisting of eleven new works, conceived and created especially for this event, is a valuable approach to introduce the work of the Venetian sculptor. These new works by Meggiato are spokesmen for a message of peace. The aim is to go, symbolically, beyond, seeking to overcome divisions, since we are all human beings, we are all cells of the same organism, we are all unicum.

"God is Mother" immediately refers to the religious transcendence inherent in Gianfranco Meggiato's sculptures. According to quantum physics, the "mother" of the entire universe is made up of vibrating subatomic micro particles called strings. This gave rise to the idea for the sculpture "God is Mother", the work that gives the exhibition its title. The latter is in the shape of an egg, which has always been a symbol of birth and life; an egg that is constructed through the union of many oscillating and multiform rings. Inside the work are three spheres that make up the essence of the human being: his rational, instinctive and animic side.

The exhibition, with free admission, will be open every day from 3 pm to 7 pm.
