The headquarters of the State Archives in Palazzo Toscanelli will host a documentary exhibition dedicated to the application of the racial laws in Pisa from 1938 to 1944.
On display, documents from the funds of the Municipality and Prefecture of Pisa, from the "secret" census forms of August 1938 to the confiscation of property and the start of forced labor in the last years of the war conflict.
For the opening, Maurizio De Giovanni, celebrated author of Commissario Ricciardi, will present his latest book, Caminito, set in the very dark years of racial persecution in Italy.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until Jan. 27, Memorial Day.
