The historic center of Vicopisano is ready to become an open-air garden. On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, in fact, Vicopisano 'Castello in Fiore' will host the free entrance floriculture fair organized by the Municipality of Vicopisano, in collaboration with Mercatino del Collezionismo, VIVicopisano, Banca Popolare di Lajatico and with the precious contribution of many associations and local and non-local realities.

 

In addition to the possibility of walking in a thousand square meters of exhibition, among numerous types of flowers and plants, to admire them and also to buy them, Castello in Fiore offers, in the two days, a rich series of events: activities for children, shows, concerts, exhibitions, guided tours to discover the architectural and landscape beauties of the area, guided tours of the Brunelleschi Fortress Complex, walks and walks, workshops, readings, jewelery and flower parades, initiatives dedicated to animals, dance, photography lessons, Nordic walking , yoga, tastings of typical products, medieval animations, projections, conferences on the Monte Pisano and on its rebirth, lunches and dinners among the stands and the places of the square, amid the scents of flowers.

 

Saturday and Sunday the stands will open at 9.00 am and the event, on both days, will continue until evening. Saturday will end around 11.00 pm with a concert of 'Quelli che ... a silhouette, sometimes back', a cover band from the 60s and 70s. And on Sunday at 7.00 pm, again with dinner in the square, and the awarding of the sixth edition of Balconi fioriti competition promoted by VIVicopisano.
