With "The White Night of the Churches", a special and unusual event for the city of Pisa, will end on Friday 6 June 2025 (before Pentecost) the Music Festival "I Concerti di Quaresima e di Pasqua" supported by the Pisa Foundation and sponsored by the Municipality of Pisa: Thanks to the availability of the respective parish priests, with the help of volunteers, thirteen churches in the historic center will be open after dinner from 9 p.m. to midnight.
They can be visited alone or by taking part in the guided walking tour that will start at 9 p.m. from Piazza XX Settembre and will end after an hour and a half in the Church of Santa Cristina, where the Compieta will be recited after a pastoral reflection of Bishop Roberto Filippini.
In each church the visitor will find musical animation, according to the program below, each church, place of prayer but also artistic jewel, will be valued for its characteristics: where present and functioning, voice will be given to its organ, The acoustics and dimensions will be enhanced by observing their most important works and listening to explanations, history and curiosities.
