Summer at San Rossore is heating up with the fourth edition of ViviParco, the cultural and environmental festival that brings art and nature together and allows visitors to discover and rediscover the park’s beauty from different perspectives.

Don’t miss this cultural and environmental festival, where music, books, theatre, photography and dance interact with the natural surroundings, seeking to create a synergy between artistic and natural beauty.

  • Tuesday 7 July in the gardens of Villa Giraffa

Vasco Brondi in ‘The Music of the Trees When There Is No Wind’ at 9.00 pm: a talk and music with the singer-songwriter known for the project ‘Le luci della centrale elettrica’, interviewed by Lorenzo Garzella. In collaboration with Acquario della Memoria and the Animali Narranti festival.
At the same time, the opening of Martina Rotondo’s exhibition ‘Bestiario Esistenziale’ at Villa Giraffa.

  • Friday 10 July on the beach

‘Sole d’Oriente’ with Carlo Ipata on flutes and Yitong Wang on the guzheng, improvising on ancient Chinese folk themes, for the Festival Toscano di Musica Antica with Auser Musici.
Starts at 7.00 pm; transport from Cascine Vecchie from 6.00 pm.

Turtle-friendly park: a talk with biologist Yuri Galletti, representative of Legambiente Pisa and Tuscany at 6.30 pm – free admission.

Birds, the vibrations of nature: featuring the jazz quintet of Tommaso Iacoviello, Nazareno Caputo, Nicolò Francesco Faraglia, Saverio Cacopardi and Ferdinando Romano

"Mi ricordo San Rossore", directed by Massimo Corevi and starring Atos Davini, Benedetta Giuntini, Athos Bigongiali and Filippo Del Gratta, with music and vocals by Alfonso di Pietro.

On gardens, green illusions and hopes: a presentation of the books ‘Incontri in giardino’ by Francesco Mati and ‘Cronache di un pianeta confuso’ by Francesco Ferrini.

‘Al lupo al lupo’, a talk with Professor Marco Apollonio at 6.30 pm, free, open to all.

  • Friday 31 July at Villa del Gombo

Mario Tozzi and Enrico Favata in ‘Geografie mistiche’ in collaboration with Pisa Jazz Rebirth.
Starts at 7.00 pm;
transport from Cascine Vecchie available from 6.00 pm.
Free concert; compulsory transport from Cascine Vecchie is subject to a fee (€9); limited seating; bookings on 050 530101, available Tuesday to Friday 9.00 am–1.00 pm and 2.00 pm–4.00 pm.

The events at San Rossore are organised by the Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Park under the artistic direction of Francesca Petrucci, with the support of the Pisa Foundation and the Region of Tuscany, and in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa, Acquario della Memoria with the Animali Narranti festival, Auser Musici with the Festival Toscano di Musica Antica, the Lungofiume association, the Fanny Mendelssohn association, Pisa Jazz Rebirth and Top 5 Viaggi.
