Friday, 20 March 2026 marks the return of Università Svelate, an initiative organized on the occasion of the National University Day and promoted by the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities – CRUI, with the patronage of the Ministry of University and Research – MUR.

“Università Svelate” is a moment of sharing the scientific and cultural heritage that the academic community produces for the society that supports it. A day of events open free of charge to the public, offering the opportunity to take part in university life and observe it from within.

The Scuola Normale Superiore opens its buildings in Piazza dei Cavalieri to the public also on the occasion of "Università Svelate", National University Day, on 20 March. Guided tours are scheduled at the Archival Center, the Library, and the Torre della Fame. In addition, the initiative “Alla Normale anche tu” will be dedicated to high school students, followed by a visit to the Palazzo della Carovana.

Programme of the initiatives:

• Guided tours of the SNS Archival Center: 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

• Guided tour of the SNS Library: 2:30 p.m.

• Visits to the Torre della Fame: from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• "Alla Normale anche tu": presentation of the SNS educational offer (Sala Azzurra, 4:00 p.m.), followed by a visit to the Palazzo della Carovana

The day is promoted by CRUI with the patronage of the Ministry of University and Research, and aims to foster the connection between higher education, citizenship, and local communities in university cities.
