There are many opportunities to visit Pisa's National Museums during the All Saints' Day holidays (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November) and on National Unity and Armed Forces Day (Tuesday 4th November).

Below is the complete calendar.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SAN MATTEO

• 1 NOVEMBER, open from 9 am to 1:30 pm (last entry at 1 pm). Admission fee applies;
• 4 NOVEMBER - closed for works from 3 to 7 November and from 10 to 14 November;

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ROYAL PALACE 

• 1 NOVEMBER, scecial opening from 4:30 pm to 8 pm with the event "Gran ballo in Casa Mastiani", a theatrical re-enactment of the famous Pisan noble ball of the mid-19th century (by and with Chiara Prosperini and Alessandro Panajia).
  The Circolo Pisano della Società di Danza will participate in the ball to teach the dances to those present.

Historical costume is required, alrnatively maximum elegance is required. Reservations are required and places are limited. Please write to: ballomastiani@gmail.com (by 11:59 pm on October 30). Admission and final aperitif: €10.00.

The event is organised by the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Reale - Musei Nazionali di Pisa and Associazione degli Amici di Pisa, with the contribution of Fondazione Pisa and the patronage of Comune di Pisa and Provincia di Pisa.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANCIENT SHIPS

• 1 NOVEMBER, open from 2 pm to 7:30 pm (last entry at 6:30 pm), admission fee applies;
• 4 NOVEMBER, open from 8:30 am to 2 pm (last entry at 1:30 pm), free admission;

NATIONAL MUSEO OF CERTOSA DI CALCI 

• 1 NOVEMBER, open from 9 am to 1:30 pm (last entry at 1 pm). Free admission to the Court of Honour and the Church. Full itinerary with guided tour for a fee.
