On Saturday, July 11, the Walls of Pisa will take part in the historical reenactment event “The Siege of 1500,” which commemorates the Florentine and French siege of the city, which had regained its independence in 1494.
The elevated section of the rampart—where the two breaches made by the besiegers can still be seen today—located above the Parco delle Concette, accessible from the Torre di Legno entrance, will be open exceptionally in the evening until 10:00 p.m.
