SensAzioni, when miracles are within reach.
On Friday 17 April 2026 at 3.00 pm, a conference on accessibility for people with autism will be held at the Toniolo Auditorium (Piazza Arcivescovado).
The event is organised by the Opera della Primarziale Pisana in collaboration with the Pisa-Valdera-Valdicecina Autism Association.
An afternoon of dialogue between science, practical experience and culture, a free event open to the public that brings together scientific experts, cultural practitioners and community organisations to discuss how to make cultural heritage truly accessible to people with autism.
The programme opens with a welcome address by Andrea Maestrelli, President of the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, followed by talks by Antonio Narzisi, Head Psychologist at the Stella Maris Foundation, Susanna Pelagatti, lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pisa and President of the Pisa Autism Association; and finally, Saverio Magagnini and Marco Mariotti, representing the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, will present the concrete measures implemented through the “Tutti all’Opera” project to promote accessibility and inclusion in Piazza del Duomo. To conclude, participants are invited to the Camposanto for a guided tour featuring an explanation of the cycle of frescoes depicting Saint Ranieri and the opportunity to watch a theatrical performance in period costume.
