On Saturday, 8 November 2025, at 5 p.m., at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna in Pisa (Lungarno Mediceo 26), the exhibition My Way, 2025 edition, conceived and curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, will be inaugurated. A short but intense journey through the visions of four artists active on the national and international scene.
My Way is a crossing of languages, memories and pictorial gestures that do not seek to represent, but to question. The works do not impose themselves as visual truths, but offer themselves as possibilities: openings, suspensions, resonances. Each painting is an act of listening, a form of gentle resistance against the standardisation of the gaze.
The pictorial material becomes a voice: sometimes it is a cry, sometimes a whisper. There are those who work in layers, letting colour tell what words cannot say. There are those who construct inner visions, where the symbol is not ornament but necessity. There are those who work on the border between figuration and abstraction, seeking a synthesis that is not compromise but living tension. And there are those who paint as if contemplating, allowing the gesture to become space, time, memory.
In My Way, painting is also body: a body that remembers, dreams, exposes itself. The images speak of freedom, femininity, restlessness, but they do so without proclamation. It is an exhibition that does not seek to explain, but to make you feel. Each work is an invitation to slow down, to pause, to let yourself be carried away. There is no single path, but many possible directions.
My Way is this: a set of autonomous trajectories that meet not to resemble each other, but to dialogue. It is an exercise in plurality, where every pictorial gesture claims the right to exist according to its own rhythm, its own urgency, its own truth.
The exhibition will run until 19 November 2025 with free admission. Opening hours from Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 am–12:30 pm/4:00-6:30 pm (weekdays); Special openings: Sunday 9 and 16 November 2025 from 4:00-6:30 pm.
