On Sunday 4 May, adults and children alike will enjoy the workshop “The Medieval Codices”, which takes them back to when manuscripts were true works of art with illuminated capitals and illustrations.
The young visitors, after an introduction on the history of the Walls of Pisa and on the writing of the time, will identify themselves as amanuensis, learning how to bind pages with parchment sheets and how to create richly ornamented letters, also using goose feathers. Activities for children aged 7 to 11 with an accompanying adult.
At the end, children and accompanying adults can continue their visit on the Walls to Piazza dei Miracoli.
Meeting point at 4 p.m. at the Bastione del Parlascio.
