From Friday, June 6 to Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the San Ranieri Hotel will be held the solo exhibition of the artist Vera Covolan.
The exhibition will open the event "Arte in San Ranieri".
Vera Covolan, a Brazilian photographer of Italian origin and researcher in industrial chemistry, worked at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pisa. Currently he is engaged in artistic photography. He makes his own photographic prints, both in fine art and using the ancient printing techniques. Appreciates conceptual and intimate language. He uses hybrid and mixed media techniques in his works and intervenes physically on photographic prints, in projects of reinterpretation of images.
The photographic exhibition Lightscapes & Delights was curated by the author and has the recognition of "FIAF - Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche". In the exhibition you can appreciate the unconventional photographs of the Luminara di San Ranieri - traditional festival of June Pisano - and a collection of conceptual works made with hybrid photography techniques, experimental, collage and prints made using the Van Dyke Brown development process.
The vernissage will be on 06/06/2025 at 6:30 p.m., with aperitif offered by the Restaurant Squisitia, at the San Ranieri Hotel (Via Filippo Mazzei, 2 - Pisa). The exhibition can be visited every day on a continuous schedule, from 06/06 to 03/08/2025.
