
On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April 2025, the Navicelli Canal will host the 2025 Italian Cross-Country Championship, organised by the Italian Fixed Seat Rowing Federation (FICSF) and organised by the ‘VV.F. Billi-Masi' in collaboration with the Port Authority and the patronage of Coni Toscana, Regione Toscana, Provincia di Pisa, Comune di Pisa and Veterani dello Sport. With more than 300 crews taking to the water for the event, there will be a total of more than 600 athletes from 40 societies.
The programme includes competitions for Gozzo Nazionale and Elba (singles) starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday 12 April and for Jole Lariana, Elba (doubles) and VIP 7.50 (standing rowing) starting at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday 13 April. The crews on board the Gozzi will cover a total of 3000 metres, Jole Lariane, VIP 7.50 (2 top Seniors and Masters) 4000 while ELBA, VIP 7.50 (Vallesana and 2 top Juniors) will stop at 2000.
This is the fifth consecutive year in which the Port Authority of Pisa, with its Navicelli canal, will host the event, thanks to a protocol signed between the participating company and FICSF, the organising committee, under which organisational and safety aspects of the competing companies and athletes are regulated.
Appointment, therefore, at the Darsena Pisana with the flag-raising ceremony that will inaugurate this 5th FICSF Italian Cross-country Championship, Saturday 12 April at 12 noon.
