On the occasion of International Darwin Day 2026, the Botanical Garden and Museum is organising a meeting on the theme of pollination.

L’appuntamento è con "L’impollinazione: una lunga storia di interazioni tra piante e animali".

The event is entitled “Pollination: a long history of interactions between plants and animals”.

Thursday 12 February at 3.30 pm in the Savi Lecture Hall, Botanical Garden and Museum.

Interviene Massimo Nepi (Professore Ordinario Università di Siena) che accompagnerà il pubblico alla scoperta dei meccanismi e delle strategie alla base dell’impollinazione, un processo fondamentale per l’evoluzione e la diversità delle piante.

Massimo Nepi (Full Professor at the University of Siena) will accompany the audience on a journey of discovery of the mechanisms and strategies behind pollination, a process that is fundamental to the evolution and diversity of plants.

Participation in the event is free of charge.
