The Cultural Heritage Office of the Archdiocese of Pisa has organized the opening of the Archbishop's Palace to the public on October 17, 2026, offering all interested parties the opportunity to retrace the historical and artistic events of the ancient Pisan residence. The guided tour will take place at 10.30 am.
In addition to the large 15th-century cloister-peristyle, usually open to visitors, it will be possible to admire the frescoes decorating the rooms on the first floor, the west side, and the south side of the Palace, created by some of the most important local painters of the 18th century, such as the brothers Melani and Giovanni Battista Tempesti.
Added to these are the valuable pictorial testimonies of the Florentines Pietro Giarrè and Giuseppe Zocchi, but also a series of paintings from the city's churches that date back to between the 15th and 20th centuries.
Free admission while seats last with mandatory reservation by sending an email to bce@diocesidipisa.it.
