On Saturday 12 September 2026 at 6.00 pm, the CentroArteModerna Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Pisa will open its doors to the 31st edition of ContempoART – Encounters with Contemporary Art, an exhibition that over the years has become a key event for those wishing to explore the latest expressions of visual creativity.
The initiative, curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, reaffirms the gallery’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and accessible dialogue between artists and the public.

This new edition takes place within a constantly evolving cultural context, where contemporary art acts as a lens through which to observe the present. The selected works reflect different creative journeys, personal sensibilities and approaches that often push beyond traditional boundaries, transforming the exhibition into a laboratory of ideas and experimentation. Art thus becomes a tool for inquiry, capable of opening up spaces for reflection and stimulating new interpretations of reality.

ContempoART is not merely an exhibition: it is a meeting place. The relationship between artists and visitors creates a fertile environment, where every work sparks questions, ideas and discussions. The public is invited to participate actively, to observe carefully, and to allow themselves to be drawn in by artistic languages that are at times surprising and at times provocative. Through this ongoing exchange, a path of shared cultural growth is forged.

With its critical and educational approach, the event aims to foster a more informed appreciation of contemporary art, encouraging a careful interpretation of its multiple meanings. The 32nd edition reaffirms this mission, presenting a programme that celebrates the diversity of artistic experiences and invites reflection on the role of art in today’s society: not only as a form of creative expression, but as a catalyst for dialogue, discussion and transformation.

The artists featured in this 31st edition are: Sergio Andreozzi, Franco Banti, Michele Bracciotti, Daniela Carta, Graziella Castelli, Ilaria Luboz, Mauro Molinari, Roberta Nido, Maria Teresa Pannunzio, Dario Restivo / Dar3s.

The exhibition will run until 23 September 2026, with free admission.
Opening hours: 10.00 am–12.30 pm / 4.00 pm-6.30 pm (weekdays). Special opening on Sunday 13 September 2026 from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm; closed on Mondays.
