Recently it has been observed, and then studied with passion that there are or can be formed extremely small materials of the order of one millionth of a millimeter (one nanometer is fifty thousand times less than the diameter of a hair) with surprising properties. Valerio will tell us about the immense potential of the nanostructures and applications already based on them. It will also address the history of nanostructures before they are recognized and their sources of non-human or unintentional origin.
