The performance unfolds as a narration focused on an impossible challenge: that of finding shelter in a place which is all for one’s own use. This tongue-in-cheek but sympathetic peek into a life lived inside the four walls of a house unveils the paradoxes flourishing in an enclosed environment which claims to be safe and effective as a barrier against the outside world. But the walls are full of cracks, and Katia Beni’s latest work doesn’t fail to point out to the weaknesses and failures underlying such an illusory super-private realm.
