TERESA PLANTAMURA IN CONCERT AT LA NUNZIATINA GARDEN FOR THE PROJECT DEDICATED TO PRISONERS PAROLE LIBERATE
Saturday, September 3 | 8:30 pm
Eclectic singer-songwriter, sometimes ironic, sometimes aggressive, overwhelming, melodious, sweet. Some call her a "musical fantasist." Teresa Plantamura will take the stage at La Nunziatina Garden in Pisa on Saturday, Sept. 3 (8:30 p.m.), with Davide Bellazzini, for the long-awaited live performance dedicated to the musical, cultural and social project Parole Liberate.
Parole Liberate starts with a call for proposals created by the social promotion association of the same name and issued by the Ministry of Justice. It is proposed to inmates to write a lyric that becomes a song thanks to the contribution of important artists from the Italian music scene, such as Plantamura, who participated in the project in 2022 by producing a song from the album and taking part in related concerts and various related initiatives. The album born from Parole Liberate was released by the Baracca & Burattini label with digital distribution The Orchard (Sony Music), like the singer-songwriter's new album due out in December.
Teresa Plantamura is an artist who plays with her musical instruments, with various sounds, with familiar motifs reworked with pleasant extravagance, with her warm voice, which she modulates with extreme mastery, stimulating suggestions that come from every latitude of the musical globe. She grew up in Massa where she still lives today, although the ties with her homeland, Puglia, a region of great traditions and folklore, remain very strong and deep within her. After the release of her first album entitled L'Arca dell'Angelo, she joined the management of Paolo Bedini's Baracca & Burattini, which has produced, in the past, the Italian tours of The Smiths, Nick Cave, Joe Strummer, Soundgarden, etc. and then management of Csi, Marlene Kuntz, Ustmamò, Yoyo Mundi, as well as record label for Baustelle, Virginiana Miller, Ferretti-Sparagna and others. Among the many live performances are those at the Metarock Pisa festival, Metapollege Massa and Revolution Camp, the largest gathering of Italian university students. Also significant are his participations in the most important festival dedicated to the acoustic guitar the Acoustic Guitar Village and in prestigious fairs dedicated to violin making and musical instruments such as Cremona Mondomusica and NAMN in Los Angeles. He has opened the concerts of Levante and Max Gazzè and has shared the stage with artists of various backgrounds and different fame.
