I Pase live on the Nunziatina stage in Pisa. We will hear them at the Giardino, with their album Mondonovo, on Friday 12 May, at 7:30 p.m. The book and CD Mondonovo tells that 'in a post-apocalyptic future, with no technological means and no electricity, the light of a candle can make a sort of magic lantern work. A wayfarer tells stories to the survivors to save the meaning of humanity'. A framing story and an album of ten tracks, included in a book illustrated by Dario Ballantini (published by Sillabe), with commentary by Enrico Ruggeri.
From the past of many bands and from an idea of Andrea Fusario, former bass player and founder of Virginiana Miller, PASE was born, grappling here with a story tackled through a plurality of languages. Mondonovo, from the Venetian term for a pre-cinema optical instrument, is the result of a combination of ideas and art forms that arose from the fortuitous discovery of a magic lantern slide purchased at a flea market.
The presentation of the book and CD, in the presence of Sillabe's editorial manager Giulia Perni, Giulia Bastianelli from the editorial staff and the Livorno band, will be conducted by Barbara Idda, a playwright, director and teacher of creative writing for public and private organisations from Pisa. She has collaborated, among others, with Robert Cahen, Alessio Pizzech and Emanuele Gamba. Her latest play Io so. Veglia funebre laica per Pier Paolo Pasolini was produced by Livorno's Teatro Goldoni.
