On Saturday 21 June 2025, at 9 p.m., at the SMS Exhibition Centre, the Pisa Philharmonic Society's Concert, ‘La Musica - Un Mondo di Mestieri’ will be held for the 31st European Music Festival 2025, dedicated to the Professions that revolve around museum events.
The Orchestra of the Filarmonica Pisana, under the guidance of Maestro Francesco Saviozzi and with the participation of soprano Ilaria Casai will perform music by Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Morricone, Shostakovich and Marquez.
The concert, with free admission, is dedicated to all the figures who revolve around the world of music, which is not only made up of instrumentalists, maestros, singers and choristers who fill the stages and entertain and move us, but also of authors, arrangers and precious workers who, from behind the scenes, make small and big shows possible, such as sound engineers, lighting technicians, tuning technicians, luthiers and many other indispensable professions in the world of music.
In keeping with the theme, the concert will propose a journey through the centuries, touching on different musical genres with the aim of illustrating how the musician's craft has changed over time and highlighting those hidden roles that make musical entertainment possible.
