The Cinema Arsenale presents the works of Francesco Filidei and two artist talks from 12 to 22 March!
The renowned Pisan composer Francesco Filidei has written three operas - GIORDANO BRUNO, L'INONDATION and IL NOME DELLA ROSA - which have conquered theatres across half of Europe.
While waiting to be able to applaud them live in his city, the Cineclub Arsenale is offering a review with the screening of their splendid first productions. A unique and exciting opportunity that will be enriched by two precious moments of encounter. The first will be a tasty “appetiser” to the screening of GIORDANO BRUNO, in which Filidei (via video link) and artist Gianni Lucchesi, whose sculptural tower “Operae” has been standing tall in Piazza dei Cavalieri for several months, will talk, alongside Prof. Marco Matteoli, about topics related to the thinking of Giordano Bruno and Leonardo Fibonacci. The second appetiser will precede the screening of IL NOME DELLA ROSA (The Name of the Rose) and will offer the Pisa public the opportunity for a direct dialogue with Francesco Filidei.
The project is curated by Claudio Proietti and organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa – Department of Tourism, the Department of Civilisation and Forms of Knowledge at the University of Pisa, MilanoMusica and Rai.
