On Tuesday, July 28, at 9:15 pm in the Garden of Palazzo Blu, pianist Ruben Micieli – winner of the 2024 Virtuoso&Belcanto Concerto Competition, finalist at the 2025 Chopin Competition, and artist-in-residence at the 2026 Festival – will present a Pisan performance of a concert hosted as part of the official Virtuoso&Belcanto program.
The programme offers a fascinating journey between Romantic virtuosity and the rarity of the piano repertoire, intertwining the pages of Frédéric Chopin with the surprising operatic paraphrases and brilliant salon pieces of Adolfo Fumagalli and Stefano Golinelli. A musical journey that traverses the world of Italian opera, the tradition of great nineteenth-century piano playing, and some of the most intense pieces of Chopin's repertoire, culminating in the famous Sonata No. 2, Op. 35.
An opportunity to hear up close one of the most interesting emerging talents on the European piano scene, as part of the collaboration between Palazzo Blu and the Virtuoso&Belcanto Festival.
