From Friday 27 March 2026 to Thursday 21 May 2026, the Fanny Mendelssohn International Music Festival returns for its 13th edition. 

The historic residences of Pisa, San Giuliano Terme, Cascina and Pontedera are preparing to host 15 concerts and artists from the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Finland, Spain, Croatia, Russia, Germany and Switzerland, together with some Italian excellence, to take you on a journey through music.

Guided tours, tastings and spectacular settings will make these events unique and will touch on the most evocative locations in the municipalities of Pisa, San Giuliano Terme, Cascina, Vicopisano and Pontedera.

Friday 27 March, 9 p.m. - Palazzo Blu Pisa 

Cecilia Radica, cello and Luigi Tangarelli, piano

Followed by ‘Finale Dolce’.

 

Thursday 2 April, 9 p.m. - Palazzo del Consigli odei Dodici 

Carmine Morellà, violin and David Fons, viola 

 

Friday 10 April, 9 p.m. - Archivio di Stato 

Fabio Furia, bandoneon and Marco Schirru, piano

Followed by a guided tour of the exhibition at Palazzo Toscanelli.

 

Sunday 12 April, 5 p.m. - Chiesa dei Santi Andrea e Lucia (Ripoli-Cascina)

Ettore Pellegrino, violin and Gianluca Persichetti, guitar

Cascina and its Romanesque Music, guided tour at 4:00 p.m.

 

Friday 17 April, 9 p.m. - Villa Del Lupo (Metato-San Giuliano Terme)

Tommaso Maria Maggiolini, flute and Nicolas Mottini, piano

Followed by ‘Il Contrappunto’, savoury tasting.

 

Sunday 19 April, 5 p.m. - Chiesa di San Miniato e Marcianella

Gianluca Campi, accordion

Cascina and its Romanesque Music, guided tour at 4:00 p.m.

 

Friday 24 April - Hotel Bagni di Pisa (San Giuliano Terme)

5 p.m. - "Spazio Giovani", recital by the winner of the 31st G. Rospigliosi International Piano Competition

9 p.m. - "Forte Trio",  trio of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Followed by ‘Note d'Olio’ and a visit to the oil mill.

Between the two concerts, there will be an aperitif and guided tour. 

 

Friday 15 May, 9 p.m. - Museo Piaggio (Pontedera)

"Duo Degas", Gala Chistiakova and Diego Benocci

Followed by "Lo Schiaccianoci Goloso".

 

Thursday 21 May, 9 p.m. - Villa di Corliano (San Giuliano Terme)

"Duo Béla Kovacs", Irene Ces, clarinett and Manuel Tevar, piano

Followed by "Colonna Sonora Golosa".

 

**Admission to the concerts on 2 April at the Palazzo del Consiglio dei Dodici in Pisa and on 10 April at the State Archives in Pisa is by invitation only.

Admission is free for the concerts on 12 April, 19 April, 24 April and 8 May.
