On Saturday 29 August and 5 September 2026, around the anniversaries of the bombing of Pisa on 31 August 1943 and the city’s liberation on 2 September 1944, the “Mura di Pisa Night Experience – Liberation Special” returns.
A night-time tour featuring film screenings that recount the events of the Second World War in Pisa, from the initial enthusiasm to the heavy bombardments the city endured, right up to the entry of Allied troops into the city following the 40-day battle on the Arno. Thanks to silent headphones, participants will be immersed in an engaging experience, an event organised in collaboration with Acquario della Memoria.
Departure at 9.00 pm from the Porta Pacis Piezometric Tower at the Polo Fibonacci, arriving at approximately 10.30 pm in Piazza dei Miracoli.
