Tuono Pettinato will be celebrated again this year with an exhibition of original plates at the Museo della Grafica during the annual festival "Giorni di Tuono" (13-15 June 2025, https://www.turismo.pisa.it/en/eventi/Giorni-di%20Tuono-2025). This time it’s "Non è mica la fine del mondo" ("It’s not the end of the world"), the comic on climate change written in 2017 with Francesca Riccioni.

What is a merry family of aliens doing visiting an uninhabited planet, with a snack basket and a camera around their necks? Are they having a happy weekend or gathering testimonies of an extinct civilization? And, above all, if that extinct civilization was ours?

For too long we have been fooling ourselves that we can protect nature, when instead we should start to defend ourselves from the consequences of our catastrophic choices in terms of development, consumption and industrial production. Mixing scientific skills and great irony, Francesca Riccioni and Tuono Pettinato have created a book that, if it will not save us from the apocalypse, at least will help us to face it with a smile on our lips.

The exhibition will open on Friday, 13 June at 12:00, free admission.
