A new exhibition opens at the Museo della Grafica on the occasion of the Architecture Biennale, a widespread festival where architecture, innovation and sustainability come together to inspire new visions of contemporary living. Curated by the LP Association with the support of the Municipality of Pisa, every two years it transforms the city into a space for research, discussion and inspiration, open to architects, scholars, students, institutions and citizens.
The exhibition Guido Canali. Tradition and Innovation in Architectural Design will be open from Friday 31 October 2025, starting at 3.30 p.m., until 16 November 2025.
Guido Canali, an architect who has managed to combine ethics and moderation, creator of iconic projects in which nature and architecture interact harmoniously, he is one of four exemplary figures to whom the 2025 edition of the Pisa Architecture Biennial has dedicated its “Special Projects”, alongside Álvaro Siza, RPBW – Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Paolo Riani.
A cultural and symbolic value
With its ‘Special Projects’, the Pisa Architecture Biennial confirms its vocation: not just an exhibition event, but a space for reflection, storytelling and memory. Paying tribute to the figures who have marked architecture in recent decades means reaffirming the importance of a conscious design culture, in dialogue with history, the territory and the challenges of the present.
On the same day, Friday 31 October, at 3.30 pm at the Arsenali Repubblicani, the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Guido Canali for his ethical vision and constant commitment to the integration of architecture, landscape and restoration. On this occasion, the architect will give a keynote lecture entitled “Tradition and innovation in architectural design”.
