On Friday 11 April at 5.30 p.m. at the SMS Biblio (Via San Michele degli Scalzi, 178), Alessandro Rivali's book ‘Ho cercato di scrivere Paradiso’ (I Tried to Write Paradise) will be presented. It is a volume-interview that collects the author's conversations with Mary de Rachewiltz, daughter of the famous poet Ezra Pound.

Through these dialogues, the complex figure of Pound is explored from an intimate and unprecedented perspective, that of his daughter. The book attempts to go beyond clichés, with a particular look at Pound's relationship with Italy and his incessant search for beauty and a ‘Paradise’ to express in his poetry.

On Thursday 17 April at 9 p.m. at the Teatro Verdi, the show ‘Ezra in a Cage or the Ezra Pound Case’ will take place.

The show is written and directed by Leonardo Petrillo, freely adapted from the writings and statements of Ezra Pound. With Mariano Rigillo and Anna Teresa Rossini.

A show about obsessions: for justice, for freedom, for usury, which corrodes the world. In the summer of 1945, Pound remained for 25 days in a wire mesh cage, a sheet metal roof and concrete floor, exposed to the elements and lit constantly at night in the US army prison camp in Pisa.
