On the occasion of Urban Nature 2026 - Nature takes care, on Sunday October 4th 2026 in Piazza Chiara Gambacorti at 5.30 pm the "Botanical Walk" will be held, organized by the WWF Alta Toscana: biodiversity, science, health and culture to rediscover the value of nature in urban spaces.

The title of the meeting is "The Power of Plants", a reference to the book by the writer Pamela Marinelli, which will be presented during the day.

The initiative will begin with a botanical walk, curated by WWF Alta Toscana, to observe and learn about
the plants present in the square and reflect on their role within the urban environment.

Following this, at Bar MARGOT, the book The Power of Plants by Pamela Marinelli will be presented, with the
participation of ISDE doctors, who will help develop the theme of the relationship between environment, plants and health.
The presence of doctors introduces a particularly important perspective for Urban Nature's message:
talking about urban greenery does not only mean talking about landscape or aesthetics, but also questioning quality of the environments in which we live and on the relationships between environment and well-being.

Furthermore, WWF Alta Toscana will provide all the information on the association's activities and dedicated initiatives to the protection of urban biodiversity.
