On Sunday, 17 July 2022, the Natural History Museum, in collaboration with CoopCulture, Cooperativa Itinera and Promocultura, the association of companies that manages the high altitude walkway of the Ancient Walls of Pisa, is organising a nature excursion dedicated to the natural or semi-natural micro-environments present along the Walls, with observation of rocks, plants and animals, listening to bird songs and examining animal tracks.
The summer edition will take place at sunset, a time when the Walls come alive with the presence of bats, geckos, nocturnal birds of prey and other small animals that find a special habitat at these heights, an ecological corridor in the city centre.
