Wednesday 15th July the beautiful Certosa di Calci (PI) will reopen its doors to visitors, following the gradual reopening of the 49 state museums and cultural sites of the Tuscany Regional Museum Directorate, in compliance with all the safety rules for visitors , staff, environments and works and in line with the indications of the National Scientific Technical Committee and the General Directorate of Museums of Mibact.
The suggestive environments of the Certosa di Calci, in Val Graziosa, rich in art and history, hosted the Carthusian order from the fourteenth to the twentieth century and here the monks lived according to the rigorous Carthusian rule founded on prayer, meditation and study.

Accompanied by the staff of the national museum you will again be able to access the rooms dedicated to hermit life, the large cloister, along whose arms are arranged the 15 cells of the monks, one of which is open to the visit, the church, the numerous chapels, and the rooms where life in common took place such as the refectory and the chapter and spaces dedicated to hospitality such as the noble guesthouse.
