From July 1st to August 2nd the Nights of Archeology are back, an appointment awaited by an audience of enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts: extraordinary evening and night openings, events in museums, areas and archaeological parks in Tuscany.

The 2020 edition, marked by the difficulties of Covid-19, has a very special value. The museums, parks and archaeological areas, after a forced but necessary closure imposed by the lockdown, resume welcoming the public. The Nights of Archeology are therefore an opportunity to participate in visits and insights with new approaches, organized and designed in an original way, as required by the safety regulations.

The rich program with events on the regional territory is aimed at audiences of all ages, the schedules of the initiatives will be diversified to facilitate their usability.

Friday 3rd July - Montecatini Val di Cecina - THE COPPER WAY: the Phoenician routes and metalworking in ancient Etruria. This meeting is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Dempster. Appointment in Piazza della Repubblica at 9.15 pm. Traveling conference by Prof. Giovanni Ranieri Fascetti. The itinerary will take the public to the ancient copper mine.

Friday 10th July - Vicopisano - THE COPPER WAY: Sacred itineraries across Mount Pisano from Prehistory to Roman times. This meeting is dedicated to the memory of Isidoro Falchi. Appointment in Piazza Domenico Cavalca at 9.15 pm. Traveling conference by Prof. Giovanni Ranieri Fascetti.

Friday 17th July - Vicopisano - THE VIA MICAELICA: The Christian pilgrimage route from Cornwall to Rome and Jerusalem from the first centuries of the Christian era to the conquest of the Franks. This meeting is dedicated to the memory of S.A. Prince Otto Von Hessen. Traveling conference by Prof. Giovanni Ranieri Fascetti.
